though could be limite dto 10/100 for licensing/ cost reasons as well as power consumption
laptops have like a 15 minute battery life or what ever it is, i don't like'em

Same for me, I also hate how people plug in their power bricks for their laptop everywhere it is somewhat of a tripping hazard.
I don't really like USB powered devices since some poorly designed usb devices draw too much power and can cause an unpowered USB hub to not work when 4 usb powered devices are plugged into the same plug.
