Kazaa p2p program beomes paid music subscription website

Post by froggyboy604 »

Only available in the US. It costs 20 dollars a month for unlimited WMA song downloads. You can pay through your phone bill.

The songs are encoded in Microsoft's WMA which does not work on Ipods, but can be converted to the more common MP3 format using software.

Songs sold by Kazaa's new service will be subject to MS crippled WMA digital restrictions management (DRM) so they can only be transferred to five other players. µ

The Inquirer

Another online paid download site I won't be purchasing from. Kazaa should use 192-320 kbps MP3 format. The WMA DRM format is lame.
