Using an unpopular OS in a public place, what will you think most people will think ?

Post by froggyboy604 »

I think if someone was using an OS like MS-DOS, a few unpopular linux distros, or none Windows GUI OS then some people will think that's cool, old fashion, weird, nerdy or your up to no good since it is something they don't understand. They might ask a lot of questions that are kind of simple like can your OS play games, etc.

It is unfortunate that some people tend to villianize some people and things they don't understand. I remember some kid at the library being villianize for using a File Manager similar to Windows Explorer at the library. The librarian thought he was up to no good because the librarian did not understand what he was doing.

Linux is good for web servers, or servers that only need is to hosts files and websites since the cost for Microsoft server 2008 is $999 and more : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2 ... icing.aspx which is costly for a lot of small buisnesses.
