Benefits of LED Thin TV are lower power consumption, better colour, more thin, lighter weight, less poisoness metals like lead and no mercury being used in production. Does not require as much power to make LED TV. LED have a longer bulb life compared to flouresent tube.
Cons are being about $500-600 , ans since it is LCD then the picture will not look good at non-native resolutions.
I think I still stick to my CRT Tube TV since they last a long time, and almost no one wants to steal it. Plus, I'm happy with the picture quality.

so they $800 more expensive but you will save quite a portion of that through energy cost with the way power prices are leaping up.
hell you could wall mount thing thing most of these have some form of computer link up and all those video files available for free, you got one hell of an awesome screen to watch them on.
