I believe shows like American idol, Britain got Talent, Dancing with the stars, etc make people famous much quicker then in the past when the Internet, and TV were not as big.
But, it also makes more "one hit wonders" like William Hung who never should of been famous, but American Idol made him well known for a short period of time.
I feel these days a lot of singers do not have to work as hard by touring, and doing fan "meet and greets" to be famous. The music industry is feeling less "Personal (getting to know the fans)", and more about singing the right song while dressing up the right way.
Do you think people no longer have to work as hard to be famous compared to the past?

Some people are famous for not having unusual talent like Jon Gosselin. I wonder why he is famous all the time.Sshadow wrote:Oh this is definitely the way it is. Its way to easy to become a star nowadays and I feel alot of them don't deserve it. Most of them use it as well and think it gives them license to do whatever they want.
