They can cost 1000 dollars or more for a 40" LCD TV made by samsung while a flourescent backlit LCD cost about 500-600 dollars for a samsung when I search up prices at stores.

I notice Flourescent tube monitor has White spots, and no pure black like CRTs, etc.
