No, the boss or customer will just have higher expectations of their employees to do more work in a shorter amount of time, or spend the rest of the day doing other non-computer based work like dressing up as the "Churches Chicken or other Mascott" to make people go buy fried chicken at "Churches Chicken or other establishment."

People work less, damn i'd like to see that i seen consultants earning 2k a week playing solitaire for a mere 6 hours of the working day with a 2 hour lunch break in the middle

I guest people can always use Macros, Batch files, scripts and task scheduler to automate some or most of their work, and look like they are working by moving their fingers and opening varies files.

I heard a woman in the US did not work at work, and just moved her fingers for a while, but her boss caught on, and she got fired.

This does not sound too promising for average educated people who are retraining to get new skills in a new job because their current job was replaced by cheap labor, robots, or computers.

A good example is the bread industry. A lot of bread is made by gigantic mixers, ovens and robotic saws to slice the bread. There are now fewer people working in a bread factory compared to the past. Although, home made bread still taste the best, so there are still some local bakeries in most towns for people who prefer their bread homemade.

I guest artists' in animation, music, and movies can't be replaced since computers are not creative thinkers like humans. However, when tech and cheap labor in the 3rd world take jobs from people in the west then fewer people can afford to buy entertainment.
