I mostly use databases for forums, blogs, and Content Management Systems like Joomla, and Drupal.
I also sometimes change settings in the Windows Registry to tweak Windows.
I never really used databases to make custom reports or organize lists with MS Access or MySQL and Crystal Reports since making one to one, one to many, and many to many, normalization, etc relationships can be frustrating espiecally if you have to type them out in SQL language.
I thought of using an Access Database to make a simple grocery list or Journal program, but there are already a lot of good programs available which I can download.
MS Excell and Spreadsheets are also much easier for organizing data.
