Yes I think the Japanese has cooler school supplies based on this video I saw on Youtube with fastfood shaped school supplies.

I doubt they can ban erasers though. But I can see not letting little kids having these.

Indeed, some kids might think it is candy or mini fast food and eat them, and these eraser promotes an unhealthy life style.
