Ever wish there were free games which people can download instead of demos for consoles?

Yes, it would be cool if there was a free game marketplace to let people download free games online like for PC games which are free like Maple Story, Gunbound, and Aeria games.

it would be, but a lot of time and work goes into a game so a lot of free games could hurt the market.

True, but the latest trend in free games is selling game money with real money like in Aeria Games, Farmville, Second Life, Maple Story where you spend a few dollars in real money, and get virtual money to spend in the game to buy virtual items for your character instead of spending countless hours leveling up and doing tasks to get virtual money for free in games.

But, you need a huge fan base to get back the money spent making the games.

it's not easy to do that, you have to be a likable person to make money back on a game. a example would be billy vs snakeman and McM is so cool people are willing to give money for his game.

There are many cases of free gaming on the PC that I bet could make it worthwhile on consoles. However I imagine a big part of that is up to the console makers themselves. I imagine it would hurt there bottom line if there started to be free games made for their console.
