I think forum users are being more savvy when it comes to forum software, and might not join a forum if it uses some weird or unreliable forum software user interface.

I personally prefer on using phpBB, Invision, and VBulletin software if I'm a member of a forum since I'm used to their posting and replying pages.

I don't care what kind of forum software is used, as long as the person don't have some bad settings like no fast reply or high flood control.

High flood control is very annoying.

I also hate forums which just have one big section instead of splitting the forum into multiple sections like Announcements, general, music, gaming.

indeed that can get annoying, though now that I think of it I'm not a big fan of ZB forums due to it's register page requiring me to meet it's password guidelines.

Password guidelines are kind of annoying since some require you to make a very long and complicated password which is very hard to remember.

I'm also not fans of boards which makes their captcha codes which are almost impossible to read, or their registration question is too hard to answer.

indeed, I get some captcha codes that ARE impossible to read. I don't get out they could put them out there to be seen.
