Ever wanted to go on a train to a near or far away town?

Yes, but sadly I never been on train which goes to a nearby or farther town. Lately, I been pretty bored in my city, and wonder if there are any fun towns or cities which I can go by train to visit for a day or two.

Same for me except for the local trains which just travel around the city, but I don't really consider it a train experience. It is more like taking a city bus, but on tracks to go downtown, or a few blocks...

I could always go on the Commuter train called the West Coast Express to nearby towns, but never had a real reason to go to any near by town unless I found a job at nearby towns close to my City.

I would like to go take a real train like the Bullet Train in Japan or the TGV High speed train in France someday, but I feel I probably never will as well since it's so expensive to go overseas.
