Yes, if the person is even more quiet then me, I sometimes just say "Hi, how are you?", and ask them about their hobbies and interests.

But, most of the time, other people are the ones who start conversations with me,.

Sometimes, if I feel more comfortable already, but if I'm with my friends, I am the one who talks first, but if I am with a new friends or other people,less talk
