I think it was gundam wing that got me into it as it was the first to be aired with Japanese songs instead of english.

Yeah, I used to watch a lot of Bleach episodes. The openings and credit songs are amazing!

It's a big YES for me. At first I can barely understand any word but since I got hooked to anime, I almost learned a third language.
