for a video game? Do you pay for it brand new or do you wait for a used sale price?

I usually pay $20 for a older game, or used game.

I don't buy many new games either since used games don't seem to be scratched up as they use to be.

I agree used games don't get scratched up as they used to be. I think for PS3 Blu-Ray Disc, the plastic is harder, and not as soft, so they can't be scratch as easily. I also think the DVD boxes for newer consoles like the Xbox 360, PS2, etc hold the disc better than the PSX, so they are less likely to fall out because the plastic door on the box opened by accident.

Plus, games which are lightly scratch can still play.

I heard there are electronic or video stores which fix scratch disc by removing the scratch with a scratch removal machine.

I remember back in the PS1 and early PS2 days most used discs ended up being scratched beyond use.
