Bad tech

have you ever bought yourself bad tech before? As in, it didn't work like it should have out of the box.

Yes, I once bought a DVD player which you need to change the video settings to North America NTSC before I can watch video on it.

I had bought an atomic clock with a outside thermostat which didn't work.
