I think it's perfect for perverted people to use to zoom in on their neighbours, or really nosey people. I think it's too weak of a telescope for bird watching or star gazing.
There are legitimate reasons to use this like if your window is close to a branch on a tall tree you can use it to watch birds in their nest. Maybe you could use this to record dangerous animals at a safe distance if you dont have a camcorder with zoom.It can also be used as a webcam if you set the telescope to 1x zoom or no zoom if it's possible. I think it can be used as a cheap security camera at a door, so you can see people's faces clearer, and if they steal something the cops can identify them easier, so their less likely of catching a innocent person who sort of like the theift from a far.
I like the webcam stand it looks nice because its made of metal like those tiny digital camera tripods.
But, i think most people that buy this are perverts, stalkers or people who like spying into people houses to see what they own like robbers, or nosey people.
I would never buy one, too. Rather buy a real telescope if i was into bird watching or star gazing, or a real camcorder if i needed a security camera.
i think this is perfectly legit, and could well be put to good use as a security camera,
the ones shops use mostly are 3/24 which is not really enough, and although it only out puts to basic MPEG size (320x240) it would still be a very effective as a security camera as ever that size you can ID people very clearly,
But yea it could be used as a spy camera, but then again, you can get a better cam with more advanced features for a pittence anyway and with a bit of engineering would be possible to see people much clearer from much greater distances
