The cable is too short, but i think it's perfect for a small pc or laptop that doesn't gets it power from the usb port like a printer that has a plug u plug into the wall, or a external HD.

damn thats lies it's powered by your PSU so it's not self powered, and anythink that is connected and draws it's power from the Comp,
if there enough it could possible over load your psu and your comp won't start up with it attached due to lack of power
this would be very bad especially if your monitor was powered by your psu and not by mains
^thx, i make the correction. usually when i see hub like this in a store it usually it have self-powed in the description.
^how about, if you got one of those PSU with huge wattages like 700W-1000w that made by a good company like sparkle antec, enermax, seasonic, thremaltake or vantec?
I think this is good for un-powered usb devices with their own power supply like most printer, scanner, external Hard drive, and digicams, or camcorders that run of their battery, but this usb hub not that great for those mini hard drive that draw power from the usb port.

well obviously then power would be the least of your concerns, Living near a power plant would be more of one,
but the average user has a 3/400w psu which is generally enough
unless you have some serious set up, then you wouldn't really need more,
