Clean wires?

How tidy do you keep your wires in your home? Are they laying about in a mess or do you have them sorted and all zip tied to reduce tangles?

I don't keep the wires very tidy since I don't have a lot of stuff plug into my power bars.

I think there is a chance of breaking the wires if you use over pull the zip ties which can squeeze stuff very hard.

Zip ties are fine as long as you aren't pulling on them as tight as possible, problem is though an installer might really use a small tight zip tie so when you go to undo it, you have to use a knife and then you risk cutting the wire.

There is always a possibility that a family member, friend, or stranger pull on the zip ties very hard because they are bored, and like to fidget with stuff like zip ties.

I think clear tape would be a safer way to secure cables. Tape is cheaper as well.

Some people also use a flexible tube with a opening in the center to organize their cables.

tape can leave a sticky residue behind and that organize tube can look rather tacky.

You can always put another piece of tape over the sticky residue or use a cleaning liquid which is safe for cleaning plastics, and metal. Some tape does not leave a noticeable amount of sticky residue. The sticky residue also may dry up after many days of being exposed to the air.

A tube can look nice depending on the size, length, design of the tube. The tube is also usually put behind a desk, and TV stand, so not many people will see it unless they look behind their desk.

in my experience it is just best to use a rubber band if possible to hold the wires together.
