Justin Timberlake: 'I Support Lance'.... Pop star Justin Timberlake insists his former 'N Sync bandmate Lance Bass, who has just revealed he is gay, has his full support.

Bass came out on Wednesday (26Jul06) on the cover of American publication People.

In a statement issued by his representative Ken Sunshine, Timberlake says, "Lance is one of my great friends. I support him and wish him all the happiness in the world."

Bass tells the magazine that he hesitated to come out during his time with the boy band because "I knew I was in this popular band, and I had four other guys' careers in my hand.

"I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything."

Another former bandmate, Joey Fatone, is also standing by his friend saying, "He took years to really think about how he was going to tell everyone. I back him up 100 per cent".
