Dell Recalls 4.1 Million Batteries

Dell is recalling 4.1 million notebook batteries. The largest recall in Dell history. The faulty batteries made by Sony and were sold from April 2004 until July 2006 in Latitude, Inspiron and Precision notebooks. 18-percent of the machines sold during the time period have faulty batteries that can overheat and possibly explode

Wow, so sony makes the batteries for dell. i wonder if people using bateries made by sony should be concern now that their batteries are going to explode or overheat.

you could be surprised there, alot of smaller companies don't have the resources to manufacturer there own crap and often rely on companies like dell to do so

Dell doesnt really make their own computer parts. i think. they just assembles them. My guest is dell picks the bad parts to assemble their comp with.

Don't forget Sony made the batteries for the recalled laptop batteries.
