Radioshack fires 400 workers by sending a e-mail.

Post by froggyboy604 »

The emails said that the work force reduction notification is currently in progress.
"Unfortunately your position is one that has been eliminated."
Radioshack's email to notify 400 fired workers.

Most of the jobs were lost at the company’s head office.

That sucks for the 400 people who lost their jobs. What a cruel and cowardly way to fire someone. The Boss atleast could've atleast tell them your fired in person, and explained why their job is gone. I wonder if anyone showed up for work eventhough they were fired because they didnt check their e-mail or the e-mail ended up in their spam box, so they didnt read it thinking it was a hoax. That be sad . The boss telling u shouldnt be at work cuz he sent u a "your Fired" e-mail.

The company said Aug. 10 it would cut 400 to 450 jobs, mostly at headquarters, to cut expenses and ``improve its long-term competitive position in the marketplace."

^that the reason found on : http://www.boston.com/business/globe/ar ... ia_e_mail/ news site.

I guest radioshak isnt doing so well these days since they sold all their canadian stores to circuit city radioshak in CANADA is now called " the source by circuit city." their stuff is too expensive compared to other stores.

^same. i live close to a radioshack. Most things at radioshack are expensive compared to the prices at doller-stores, Wal-mart, internet stores, department stores, supermarkets and BestBuy.

I dont like visiting a radioshack. The staff try to sell u warranty-plans, or more things, a lot of the products they sell dont look very durable except for stuff made by Sony, but wal-mart or similar stores sony prices are cheaper then RS usually. Plus, their stores are cramp, and unorganizes, so it's not very easy to find stuff sometimes.
