Re: When is it time to upgrade?
That would be helpful, I had plenty of people coming in at my last work looking for how to guides.

It would be nice if Microsoft can make how to guides which included mini games like an action game which also teaches people how to use basic Windows features during the game loading screens, and within the game.
I feel using some of the Xbox game characters from Halo, Fable, Gears of wars, and Kinect games may make people more interested in learning how to do basic Windows and software tasks.

I think they rather not include all that, make people more likely to upgrade their machine if things start to get too slow.

I also feel computer makers and OS makers like Windows may not want people to be skilled enough to fix their computer and OS problems, so they are more likely to upgrade.
Microsoft makes money from Windows and MS software certification exams, so they want you to learn more about Windows and pay money to take a certification test and pass to get certified. If a user fail the certification test a few times before they pass, the test taker can spend a lot of money on certification tests.

I've looked into those certifications, they can teach a lot but a pretty expensive to do so.

Certification exams cost a lot. A lot of test takers dont get a student discount, so they can cost more without a discount. Cert. exam can be difficult to pass for some test takers who may not have enough practice using MS software. Some people need to take a course, buy cert. books, and buy expensive MS software to practice for the exams.
MS probably makes a lot of money from students and tech workers who need to buy MS software like Windows and MS Office to practice for the certification exams.

I'm sure they do, I plan on taking a server admin certification in the next year or two, need to know how to work that stuff.
