I think I see a few AVs offering that these days, which is a good thing.

I think standalone password managers like Keepass maybe better for some people who switch antivirus programs, or may have problems affording their paid antivirus subscription in the future.

Doesn't hurt to change if the current one isn't working, I've changed up a lot over the years for AV.

Sometimes smaller AV companies get bought by bigger companies which may make it worst, or more expensive, so changing AV maybe needed.

A lot of that has happened already, you don't see many smaller companies around anymore.

I think only ClamAV will probably be one of the few free antivirus which won't get bought because ClamAV is opensource and made for Linux.

If linux becomes more popular I could see it being bought or a copy made to compete.
