I wonder if some bigger companies or the government also reinstall the firmware on routers, and modems if ransomware and malware is detected on their network.

I'm sure they update every week, many use a service like Ivanti to keep things updated.

I think a lot of web browsers are now setup to automatically update which can help with preventing malware to infect web browsers.

I bet, a lot of companies may use more advance firewalls which stop hackers and viruses from entering their network.

I had to block firefox's update for awhile, a bad update kept crashing the current version and I had to go back to a previous version for awhile.

It is unfortunate that Microsoft and Firefox could not work more closely together to avoid Firefox crashes.

I think one of disadvantages of using less popular antivirus is that Microsoft may not test the antivirus to see if it is compatible with Windows, and the smaller antivirus company may not test to see if their AV work on all versions of Windows.

Windows is always beta testing, which is why some AVs have trouble I believe.

I wonder if the Windows Pro/Enterprise versions of Windows 10 are less likely to have compatibility problems with antivirus programs.
