It doesn't like it, that's for sure, and windows defender isn't updated enough to detect latest issues.

I wonder do most regular users have an antimalware and firewall which may block some of the viruses which Defender does not block.

Most don't bother from my understanding, either they don't care or want to spend the extra money to protect their system.

I heard some internet service providers providers, workplaces, and schools bundle a free subscription to antivirus which may help people protect their PC from viruses without spending any extra money.

I know some that do, and others that have stopped since it costs too much and not many take advantage of it.

I wonder would some online scanner-only Antivirus will get discontinued because not many people use them, high cost to maintain, and they may not cause many people to buy the full antivirus.

Hardly anything that costs a lot of money remains online, usually gets discontinued quickly, sadly.
