I think bigger computer technical support forums like the official Microsoft and Apple forum may still be around for many years. A lot of people may feel more comfortable making a technical support post on an official software forum than making a YouTube video and Facebook post.

Forum software companies could hire more workers to work on more anti-spam features like making it tougher for known spammers from joining a forum.

Hard to say, some bigger forums have folded under recent changes in times.

I think there could also be more smaller forums now that more people can access the internet for free, and use free or cheap web hosting to host a forum.

Forums may also feel safer than social networks which don't have enough moderators and admins to ban trolls, and spammers.

I think there is only one or two free forums left that a person can make something with, they are fewer by the day.

I think forums are still somewhat popular with Antivirus software companies which has online forums. A lot of people may still prefer using forums to ask for help on how to use an antivirus instead of using a social network, e-mail, phone call, or text chat.

I do see AVs like Norton do have a forum, that surprises me but good they offer that for users.

I think forums help save antivirus companies some money because antivirus makers don't need to hire as many technical support workers to reply to e-mail or answer phone calls. Antivirus forum members probably can find out how to fix an antivirus problem, or how to do a virus scan by searching the forum for old tech support posts which have the answer they are looking for, and posting for help which takes a few minutes or less.

Forums are mostly text, so they load and run quickly on most internet connections. A lot of people with slower internet connections may prefer forums because of how fast they load on slower internet connections.
