Tricking people is kind of the bases for viruses and the reason we need AVs for protection.

I think sometimes viruses trick software and operating systms into allowing viruses to run, so antivirus programs are needed to block the virus from being downloaded and installed.

which is why critical systems should require special admin passwords to run anything.

I think there are card readersand USB keys which can be used to lock and unlock a PC with an access card.

Google and some others employee that as an extra measure, it's pretty good so long as you don't lose it.

I think some computers used to have keys to turn ON the computer.
