Re: Purchasing parts
depends on the persons setup and time they have to manage it, either way its always best to keep extra parts on hand to keep down time low.

Re: Purchasing parts
I feel one of the advantages of Desktops PC and full-size servers is that it is usually faster to replace parts when they break, so there is less downtime.

Re: Purchasing parts
I imagine there are probably a lot of used and refurbished parts and computers being sold online because some people may no longer need their computer which they bought at the beginning of the Covid restrictions which forced many to work or study online, and now a lot of offices want workers to work at the office instead of at home.

Re: Purchasing parts
The recent tech layoffs in Gaming and software companies may cause many former workers to sell their extra computer parts to earn an extra few hundred dollars to help pay for food and utility bills.
Some people may sell their Windows 10 PC before Windows 10 is discontinued which can make their computer harder to sell when Microsoft stop releasing software fixes and updates for Windows 10.

True, no longer need to program or design games could lead to a flood of extra equipment.
