I feel it can be risky making too many new games which can end up being unpopular in a few weeks to months, and more gamers may not want to buy a popular game if it ends up being discontinued in a few years.

Which is why the mobile game market is starting to shrink, no one wants to play short-lived games.

I read tech news articles more people are switching to regular non-smartphone cell phones, so I think people using basic cell phones could cause the mobile game market to shrink because more people are choosing to use non-smartphone cell phones which can't play newer newer mobile games with 3D graphics.

I wouldn't mind going back to a flip phone myself, but need too many apps to do it.

I heard more mobile apps and games these days now have a PC and game console version, so using a flip phone maybe possible for some people if they have access to a PC or game console like the Switch which may have most of the apps people need to use.

A lot of gamers may also be getting health problems like finger muscle pain from gaming on a smartphone and some console controllers, so they may more likely pick a PC for gaming because they can buy a keyboard and mouse which is less painful to use for many hours of intensive gaming.
