Re: Purchasing parts
I imagine it will take a lot of money and energy to convince people to buy from the brand again. I heard Intel CPUs are not selling as well these days because of hardware problems, and security vulnerabilities like Wannacry CPU security problems.

Re: Purchasing parts
Most customers are pretty cheap, so it would take several bad experiences for them to go back to high cost name brands.

I think AMD is getting more buyers these days. I think a lot of people with bad experiences with their Intel CPU may of switch to AMD because they no longer trust Intel.

AMD is getting a huge boost these days, even my PC came with it and seems to work as good as intel.

Re: Purchasing parts
I think AMD being the chosen CPU for the Xbox One and PS4 helped AMD earn enough fans who decided to switch to AMD because their game consoles use an AMD CPU.
People also have less spending money, so they are more likely to buy an AMD CPU which is sometimes on sale more often at some stores.

Re: Purchasing parts
It's sad that intel dropped the ball and let AMD take over, but hopefully this means Intel will try harder to make better CPUs.
