That is true opening a window can make people more sick from poor air quality. Opening a car window may also cause other people to cough, sneeze or spit into your car if the street is narrow and the person walk or ride a bike close to your car.

Yep, best to keep the windows up with a good filter in place.

I think leaving the windows up can prevent bugs like flies and mosquito entering a car, and spreading germs and disease to people in the car.

One reason I don't like rolling down my windows, tends to let in bugs that can easy bite you since you're busy driving.

I think bugs distracting drivers when the window is down could make a person panic if the bug fly inside a person's ear.

There are news reports of bird flu from chickens, and ducks, so it can be a good idea to close your window when you are near birds.

I don't think bird flu is dangerous to humans, but it should be carefully handled.

I recently saw news reports of a young boy getting infected from the H5N1 bird flu virus, and having to stay in the hospital for treatment. Birds like pigeons can sometimes carry germs and diseases.
