Some of the poorly made batteries may also be leaking toxic metals which could cause a lot of damage to people's health.

Hrmmm, water filters are good but I don't think they can hit that unless you buy the expensive ones.

I think the cheap ones may help with removing some toxic chemicals from batteries, but may not filter out the smaller toxic particles.

I think there are also not enough people who wamt to collect toxic trash from old batteries.
