Yep, makes it a pain if you need to pull identifying info off to figure out what it is.

At least,there are forums where some people may own the same device, and may know the info on the devices's stickers.

true, but a lot of forums tend to no longer be active or have dead links to answers which suuuuucks.

A lot of the free picture hosting sites may no longer exist, or switch to a paid picture hosting plan, so most posts with pictures maybe worthless unless the author wrote down the text on the forum post.

I miss a lot of those image hosting sites like imageshack, still hate photobucket went paid only.

I think a few animated gif sites no longer exist as well.
