Oh I remember those CDs, hardly ever used them. Usually ended up using them as drink coasters lol.

I occassionally use them because they had free trial software, but I generally just use the real textbook.

The free stuff was nice, but I know it never had much more than that for usefulness.

Those Book CDs were more useful when internet connections were slower where downloading large files took hours.

large files took days actually, painful as it was. CDs help cut down on that, still kind of needed if there is no internet.

I feel downloading a large 4K Virtual reality video course file about computer troubleshooting would take many days where it maybe better to use one or more Blu-Ray discs to transfer the VR video file to a PC espiecally if many users are using the same internet connection which can cause internet and network problems.

Thankfully for troubleshooting, even a 480p video would work well.
