Do you think a lot of websites and other places send too much mail to you?

I try write mxp newsletter once a month if there is stuff that is wroth writing about, and I try to put useful facts about mxp like upcoming events, website of the month, mx statistics, what's new, and member interviews.

I think the useless spam like fake Viagra, body enhancement drugs, porn, work from home scams are making people who write legitimate newsletter with useful content be mistakenly categorize as spammers sometime by people who don't know the true meaning of spam which is unsolictated e-mail.

Once a month is alright, I can deal with that. Its like the once a week crap.. seriously a forum cannot have that much news all the time.

But yeah, I get e-mails from Gordmans all the time, they just go in my spam box so I never see them. XD

Yes, I joined a certain forum a LONG time ago, and I still get pms from it.. I just deleted 10 pms, and I swear I get about that much each month from the admin..

I don't need to know about every single update to your forum via pm..

it's the idiots that send the mail that annoys me these people who just cannot use google to get there question answered the simplest thing in the world.

Though some forum admins are bloody weird, a forum i was a member of but now successfully banned, sent an e-mail about EVERYTHING that happened with the forum, i don't mean just posts i mean every little tweak, every member who joined it was particularly annoying especially when you get enough e-mail from morons.

I don't like those e-mails or PMs which only contains a link to a topic called newsletter.

They could of just pasted the newsletter in the e-mail.

Aye, on the super rare occasion i send mass e-mailbe it newletter/updates w/ever i send probably once or twice per 6months, the only time i break that cycle is for software security or important notices.

I don't see why notices about every little thing matter ooh you have a new member big bloody deal oror you have a 100 members i still just don't care, wow 200 posts i'll give a shit one day though probably just after never.

If there that desperate for people to revisit there site they should make it interesting and worth visiting.
