Windows Desktop is the place I usually save my downloaded files to.

depends on what it is i'm downloading, usually I:\dkt\3\ht
I never really understood Thursdays.

I made a partition D and put a folder on it called downloads so that anytime I have to do a reinstall of the OS I don't have to find files to reinstall all my programs. :)

I'm with SetoTK on this one. I work on several websites and have various other downloads going at any given moment. Depending on the material, it also gets designated between different drives or even computers. :D
