Yes, I think $2 doller stores & asian themed stores where most products cost around $1-$2+ have better looking pencils, pens, and erasers which are usually made in Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan, or China for sale then most regular office supplies store which sells things that work, but look boring, or sell pencils, etc that costs $5 or more when I can get a similar or better looking pencil at the $2 store or asian themed stores at Richmond or TinselTown (chinatown mall) for $1-$2 dollers instead of $5.
Everytime I go into a Staples I feel most of the products they sell are dull lsince the products don't really look that great or come in very dull looking packaging which make the products they sell even duller.
examples of pens, pencils you can find at $2 shops and asian themed stores shown below.
Do $2 & asian themed stores usually have nicer pencils, pens, erasers, etc then regular office supplies stores?

Daiso a pretty cool store. It's one of the few stores that sell stuff at reasonable prices at Richmond, I heard. Too bad it's kind of far from where I live.
Some of those Staples "store branded"...supplies also look really fragile. I think a classmate of mine bought those Staples white out scratcher things and the ribbon tape broke.
Staples sell some pretty bad lead that snaps when you push it too hard. I bought some 0.5mm lead from a doller store and the lead rarely snaps while writing.
