HP DreamColor LP2480zx Shows Off Its One Billion Colors

Post by froggyboy604 »

LCD monitors are generally pretty convenient, but many graphic design and video professionals can't rely on LCDs alone because they just aren't color accurate enough for finesse jobs. So they end up double checking images in clunky CRT monitors. HP is addressing this issue with their DreamcColor display. An LED-backlit 24-inch widescreen monitor, the DreamColor features 30-bit imaging with a over billion colors. That's 64 times the standard LCD color gamut...at a price that's only about 10 times the standard LCD ($3,499). A side-by-side against a mortal monitor after the jump, but will you really be able to tell the difference with that piece of crap you're using?

The top monitor has richer colours then the bottumn one. But, I'm not sure I want to buy a Monitor from HP since I never use much of their stuff.

impressive, though i see there point LCD users won't see as they have the ability to display about 9 colours at once, and a 1000 colours greyly

Though even on a 10 year old CRT easily visible,

looks good, though i think there are a couple others that have similar claims
I never really understood Thursdays.
