Why does a motherboard use a regular coin sized battery instead of a rechargeable battery or a capacitor?

I'm not sure, but I guest non-rechargeable batteries hold their charge better then rechargeable batteries, and capacitores.

Probably cost, it costs more to buy a recargeable battery, and a capacitor then a regular mobo battery.
