Yes for one person, but hardly both sides since someone elses pay for your free use instead of you paying for it.
For example, free software, it is free for the downloader/user, but the person who made the software had to buy a computer, use electricity, buy programming books, spend time and go to school, etc to use it.

some people need to by oxygen tanks, we buy bottle water and salt, and doesn't getting air cost the trees something?
