Disney Partners With Asus On Netpal Eee Netbook For Kids

Post by froggyboy604 »

"fun, web-safe and easy to use."

The Netpal features a durable design, an 8.9-inch LCD display, Wi-Fi capabilities, Windows XP Home and over 40 parental controls including extra filters in browsers and email.

There is also a Disney-themed UI "gadget tray" that offers a customized email, browser, icons, themes, widgets and kid-friendly software.

The Netpal will be available in two versions—with the base model arriving in July for $350.

Retailers include Toys"R"Us and Amazon.com, and the suggested retail price is $349.99. Carrying cases will also be available separately.

For storage, you have two options. Either you can go in for the 16GB SSD or 160GB HDD. Going for 16GB SSD would be better option as the kids may not put the unit into standby (or put in into hibernation) before moving it around.

If only Asus made a Kingdom Hearts Version with the KH logo and it came with a thumb drive that looks like the KH keyblade.

Same for me since It looks like an alright for a kids laptop. But, $350 is not exactly a cheap toy, but it is a much better laptop then those pretend laptops made by V-Tech, etc.
