He uses NextEngine 3D Scanner at a 160,000 dots per inch resolution. It takes about 20 minutes to scan. He prints the scanned 3D model in plastic with a Dimension 3D Printer. It takes three hours to get the plastic model, which he uses it to create a mold that will produce the actual car part in metal.
