Do you usually set your profiles for social sites to let everyone see or just your friend/private mode?

I usually just set my profile to Public since I don't have much to hide online from people on my social sites since I rarely use them. Plus, I just use them to advertise my websites like http://mxproject.com and other sites I feel like promoting, so my social sites are usually full of links to my websites, pictures of asian stars, anime, video game pictures.

Plus, I knind of think people who set their profiles to private have something to hide like "Conservative worker by day at a office job. Party animal at night at some shady night club."

Making a profile private also might give some hacker a twisted reason to hack a account since they don't know what is on your account and might think there is something worth stealing like "embarrassing pictures of someone Cosplaying as Tuxedo Mask by wearing a crappy suit and ugly hat.". But, if your account is set to public and there is nothing worth stealing or changing then hacker will not want to hack it as much.

I don't put my public info on social sites. too risky and foolish.

I agree. I don't put my private info or pictures online. Though, I don't have many pictures of myself to be worried too much.
