That's pretty fast. I wonder would a Quad core CPU with 4+GB of ram boot faster then the laptop.

It looks like they just disable all the un-needed services and start-up program. They also seem to disabled Aeroglass, and used the most basic theme which is "Windows Classic" like Windows 2000. I wonder if the laptop is using some sort of a Solid state RAM disk since laptop usually use 5200 RPM drive which can be really slow.
