Same for me, I guest people just spam because they are too lazy to properly advertise their website link in their forum signature by posting non-spammy posts on forums, and hope people also read their forum sig with their links. on their sig.

Indeed, I think I use the edit option instead of delete for removing spam posts from now on to avoid making the people who reply to spam look like spammers.
