Are the men and women who work in computer security software companies the unknown workers keeping us safe online?

In most cases, yes since I feel not many people know how hard the people who make anti-virus,, and other types of computer security software work to keep us safe from virus, spyware, and spam programs which can mess up your computer, spy on you, steal your info, and use your computer to send spam.

I rarely read posts which people acknowledge the men and women who work at the antivirus company for doing a good job at maintaining and improving Antivirus programs and other computer security software to keep us safe online.
