Yes, I prefer forums, blogs, CMS, and social networking sites simply because they are easier to add articles, and come with editors compared to making a website from HTML code.
However, HTML websites are great for websites which rarely change, and main purpose is to inform people of things which rarely change like a restaurant's address, menu, and phone number.
A database driven site like a forum, blog, cms, and social network is better for providing daily news, and for websites which are constantly being updated like a website directory, or search engine.
Do you prefer websites which run off databases like Blogs, forums, content management systems, social networks?

Indeed, I been on forums and websites where the database was slow, did not work, or got lost. Plus, sometimes PHP does not work, or the PHP pages got broken making your entire website messed up with a white screen telling you where the error is.
HTML is much more reliable and fast, but it is a hassle to make pages in HTML.
