Most new electronics and computer makers usually offer to let you return your stuff for free to be fix if it is still covered by the warranty, or extended warranty which you buy from Amazon, BestBuy, or Radioshack. If they don't honor their return policy for broken stuff, you can use Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, YouTube, News channels, and the Better Buisness Bureau to write or record a complaint for the public to read or watch online or offline with the News, and Newspapers if a reporter agrees to make a story for you.

Indeed, the people who get money will have money, but a lot of people get gift cards for Christmas, and money is not as common as a gift since you can buy Giftcards at a cheaper price then giving actual money, and it proves that you actual left the house or ordered it online to get a gift, so the person you are giving a gift to is less likely to complain or be unhappy because of the smaller amount of money on the giftcard vs. reaching into your wallet, and giving them $10 or less.

I think Amazon, and Apple's iTunes sometimes have sales on Giftcards where you pay less then $25 for a $25 giftcards.

I don't see the point of that as the shipping will still end up costing you more unless you can get it bundled into a large order with free shipping.
