If there was a house fire

If there was a house fire in your home, would you make any attempt to save your tech?

Probably not since most of my tech is old, and not worth much.

I spend most of my time trying to put out the fire, running out of the house, and calling the fire department for help. I also don't want to risk being burned alive.

assuming the fire is beyond my control and the window of escape is still there, I would grab my laptop and a few storage devices.

I think I be more likely to quickly unplug my monitor, keyboard, mouse, and other cables, and run out with my desktop computer since my laptop is too slow for gaming, and my desktop is not heavy.

I bet PC Gamers who own Gaming Desktops which cost many thousands to tens of thousands of dollars would more likely grab their desktop computer than a laptop because a lot of people now own cheap laptops which cost $400 dollars or less from discount stores like Wal-Mart and Target. Also, a desktop usually has Terabytes or many hundreds of Gigabytes of storage which can hold all of its owners files.

Well I keep my PC and laptop up to date on all things and data. I really don't get about the tech, even if it cost 1000s of dollars as I care more about the data it holds.

It depends on the Data since most of the data on my computers are MP3 files, video files, and stuff I can usually download again for free again from the internet by searching free file sharing forums, bittorent, and re-downloading paid MP3s from MP3 stores.

I think most of the data for my forum and websites is backed up by my webhosts every few days, and I backup the databases, and important files for my forum every once and awhile.

But, it does stink losing a few days of posts when my forum randomly goes offline every few months or years.

that's my issue though, I have things I highly doubt I could get again.
